On behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council, WSP UK are holding a public event in relation to plans to submit a detailed planning application for the construction of a new cycle route linking the Roseburn Path to the Union Canal in Edinburgh.
The event will be held on Wednesday 19th June 2019 from 2:00pm to 7:30pm at St. Brides Centre, 10 Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh, EH11 2DZ.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the above event on a ‘drop in’ basis where representatives of City of Edinburgh Council will be available to discuss the proposed planning application.
Information on the proposed development will be available at the public event or afterwards in writing from WSP UK Ltd, 7th Floor, 110 Queen Street, Glasgow, G13BX. The same address can be used to submit any comments on the proposed development or alternatively, information can be obtained and comments made via email to graham.cann@wsp.com. Comment should be made in full by 19 July 2019
Please be advised that comments made as part of the public event are not representations to the planning authority. Once a planning application has been formally submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council, there will be a separate opportunity to make representation on that application directly to the planning authority.
This is only likely to increase the congestion on the canal towpath, which is at dangerous levels at peak periods.
