In spring 2022 MCC hopes to launch a new project focused on the corridor from Yeaman Place along Polwarth Crescent up to the roundabout at Polwarth Gardens.
The goal is to improve the environment for pedestrians and to make the streets and pavements safer and more attractive for residents, parents walking with children to schools, and local shops and businesses. The first step is to find out what people living and working in this area think about street improvements. MCC is seeking a grant from the City Council to help us launch consultations in the spring of 2022.
Meanwhile, we are engaging with ward councillors and those running similar ventures in other parts of the city. If you live along Yeaman Place or Polwarth Crescent or use these streets on a regular basis, and want to feed your thoughts in early, you can email your views to
pavementproject@merchistoncc.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you.
