Merchiston Community Council Public Meetings

Announcements of forthcoming meetings will be posted on our Home page and our Bluesky account.

The remaining meetings in 2026 will be as follows:

  • Tuesdays June 16th, September 15th, October 20th in person,
    November 17th probably online (tbc)
  • No meeting in April, July, August

Online meetings are held using Zoom or Teams.
In-person meetings are held at the Merchiston Tennis and Bowling Club, Polwarth Terrace, EH11 1NA

When in person, Merchiston Community Council’s meetings are covered by a Certificate of Employers Liability Insurance.

MDCC is required to notify all relevant MSPs, MPs and Ward Councillors in the distribution of notices and papers for MDCC meetings. (In general one councillor from each ward attends meetings – MSPs and MPs are rarely able to attend.)
At present our representatives are:
MPs – Ian Murray (Labour, Edinburgh South), Dr. Scott Arthur (Labour,Edinburgh South-West)
Constituency MSPs – Lorna Slater (Scottish Greens, Edinburgh Central), Daniel Johnson (Labour, Edinburgh Southern)
