Screening of film “People’s Emergency Briefing” on 4th September in Bruntsfield

Bruntsfield Area Net Zero Action Initiative (BANZAI) is presenting a free screening of the film People’s Emergency Briefing on Friday September 4th at 6.30 pm.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is a 50-minute film, introduced by Chris Packham. It presents expert evidence submitted for the National Emergency Briefing, a public information initiative outlining the numerous crises now facing the UK, and what needs to be done about them.

  • The Film features nine leading UK scientists and experts, and describes the dangers from: food insecurity; extreme weather; climate maladaptation; climate tipping points; biodiversity loss; geopolitical conflict; declining health; and increases to the cost of living.
  • The Intended Audience are local residents, community groups, City Councillors, MSPs, and MPs.
  • The Aim is to raise awareness and build public support for a government-led televised emergency briefing, and ultimately, effective action.

Refreshments will be available – cash or card donations to cover food and room hire welcomed!
