The photograph, with a youngster from P1 looking on admiringly, is of the Watson’s team with teacher Louise McVey on completion of their input to the Merchiston Community Council leaf clearing project. GWC pupils had a great input into the success of this leaf clearing initiative. They collected 75 large black bags for composting and worked in many of the sloping roads at the junctions with Polwarth Terrace. Their work will go towards the Community Volunteer aspect for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
